Scavenging

Waste anesthetic gases are small amounts of volatile anesthetic gases that leak from the pop-off valve and patient's anesthetic breathing circuit into the environment of operating theatre and recovery room during and following anaesthesia. The emission of these gasses into the working environment is controlled by occupational health and safety.
